π Miri Public Swimming Pool Set to Reopen in 2025! πββοΈ
After 39 years, Miri Public Swimming Pool is undergoing its first major renovation and is expected to reopen in 2025. πThe pool has been closed for two years due to pump issues, but the state government has now allocated RM5 million for much-needed upgrades β including a brand-new roof π and improved facilities.
Key highlights of the renovation:
β’ New pump and filter system π§ (RM500,000 each)
β’ RM4 million roof installation π οΈ
Once completed, Miri will have the stateβs second roofed public pool, joining Bukit Lima Swimming Pool in Sibu. During the closure, many swimming events were postponed or relocated, but weβre excited to welcome everyone back soon! π
