I’ll be presenting “Lines of Growth: An Artist’s Evolution”, where I’ll share the story behind my painting “The Grandfather and the Granddaughter.”
🖼 About the Painting:
Inspired by a photograph taken by Lim Yu Seng in 1970s Sarawak—likely in the inland region of Sibu—this artwork captures a quiet moment between an elderly man and his granddaughter. It's a window into a time and culture that once was.
The piece evokes a sense of melancholy—a raw, reflective emotion. The little girl's eyes reveal a depth far beyond her years, inviting viewers to contemplate life in a remote, materially limited world far removed from our urban realities.
📍 Don’t miss this meaningful art exchange!
See you at the Borneo Cultures Museum!
