Big news for Sibu driversStarting September 2025, the Sibu Municipal Council will officially roll out a Smart Parking System, allowing you to pay for parking directly through a mobile app. No more tearing parking coupons or sticking paper on your dashboard!

β Enforcement officers will use smart devices to scan license plates and check payment status
β Unpaid vehicles will be automatically issued fines β fully digital!
β Contractors are required to provide manpower to support the system
β All parking activity will be tracked and charged β no more free rides

The council will also crack down on car workshops misusing public parking spaces as personal storage. Violators will face legal action once the system is in place.
