History has been made at the 2025 Sibu International Remote Control (RC) Boat Racing River Challenge! π²πΎ This exciting four-day event is now officially set to enter the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) under the category βMost Remote Control Boats in a Single Eventβ! π

π Total RC Boats: A massive 759 entries β smashing the previous record of 614 set in 2017!
This announcement was made by Sibu Resident Abang Mohamad Porkan Abang Budiman during the opening ceremony, where he highlighted that this achievement is not just a win for Sibu but a proud moment for Sarawak and Malaysia, elevating our reputation in international-standard water sports. π²πΎπ
Participants came from far and wide β including Kuching, Limbang, Miri, Perlis, Selangor, Sabah, and Labuan β and even from Brunei and Thailand! π

The event theme, βDβ Mighty Rajang River Roars, Again!β, perfectly captures the vibrant spirit and growing prestige of this annual race. πβ¨
π¬ βThis is more than a race β itβs a celebration of community, tourism, and economic growth,β said Abang Mohamad Porkan. βI believe this event will continue to grow and become a major highlight on the national and regional calendar.β
With nine racing categories in action β including Class A + B, H, F, G, and the Veteran Class 55ers β Class H and F stood out with the highest number of entries: 140 and 113 boats respectively.
