The outdoor setting is peaceful and beautifully upgraded — with proper pools, shaded areas, changing rooms, and even BBQ facilities! All this for just RM5 per adult, with fees used for upkeep.
There are five pools: four waist-deep for adults and one shallow pool for kids or feet soaking. The place used to be just an open-air pond, but thanks to the Serembu Rural Transformation Programme, it’s now a proper tourist spot.

Paku Hot Spring is one of the closest and most modern hot springs near Kuching and Serian. The revitalisation effort, led by YB Miro Simuh, saw over RM700,000 invested in two phases since 2021 — improving not just the pools, but also access, drainage, and facilities.
this natural attraction can help stimulate the local economy — by creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and encouraging tourism in the Bau area.
🔬 While scientific studies on the specific health benefits of Sarawak’s hot springs are still limited, the experience itself was refreshing, relaxing, and definitely worth the trip. Whether you're going solo or with friends and family, it’s a great way to unwind close to nature.
