A New Era for Pre-University Education in Sematan! 🎓
A brand new matriculation college is coming to Sematan! ✅ The RM700 million project has officially been approved and will become a major pre-university education hub in Sarawak, offering spots for up to 1,500 SPM school leavers from across the state. 🏫According to Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan, the college will be built on a 40-acre site and is expected to be completed in 24 months. The development will bring over 2,000 people to the area — a huge boost for the local economy and community. 💼💪
🛠️ Site inspections are done
💰 Land compensation settled
📐 Final designs being confirmed
📄 Tender process expected by end of this year or early next year
But that’s not all.
To further uplift Sematan and Lundu, Azizul also called for three important federal projects:
A new Lundu Hospital – the current one is over 80 years old! 🏥
A RELA Volunteer Training Centre – to enhance local security readiness 🦺
A new police station – the current one dates back to the 1980s and needs urgent upgrading 👮♂️
