⚠️ Faded Road Markings in Sibu Raise Safety Concerns ⚠️
Residents and road users in Sibu are voicing serious concerns over the dangerously faded road markings along Jalan Salim and Jalan Wong King Huo — especially at the Wong King Huo Roundabout, where lines are nearly invisible. 😟

Former Bukit Assek assemblywoman Irene Chang Oi Ling, who personally inspected the area, confirmed the poor condition of the markings and stressed that this neglect puts lives at risk, particularly during nighttime or heavy rain.

“Public complaints have been ongoing, but the local council has yet to act,” she said.

🚧 Road markings are not just paint — they’re critical for traffic safety, lane discipline, and accident prevention.

Chang is now calling on the local council to:
✅ Immediately repaint faded markings along the affected roads
✅ Take action across all of Sibu where similar problems exist
✅ Hold contractors accountable if work has already been assigned

“Public safety should never be compromised due to inefficiency or neglect,” she emphasized.
