2025 Borneo Games Is Coming Back！
After more than a decade, the long-awaited Borneo Games is making a comeback — and this time, Sarawak is the proud host!📍 Sept 24–28, 2025
📌 Petra Jaya Sports Complex, Kuching
Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Minister, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, announced that the Games will bring together six contingents from across Borneo:
Brunei Darussalam
Sabah
Labuan
East Kalimantan
West Kalimantan
Sarawak
👥 Over 5,000 participants – athletes, coaches, officials, media & volunteers – are expected to take part in this major regional sporting event.
🏃♂️ 8 Sports will be featured:
Core: Badminton, Athletics, Swimming, Archery, Lawn Bowls
Traditional: Tug of War, Blowpipe
VIP Sport: Golf
🥇124 gold medals are up for grabs! (Final event list to be confirmed by Aug 29)
“The Borneo Games 2025 is more than just sports – it’s about unity, tradition, and friendship across Borneo,” said Minister Karim.
📅 Save the date for the Closing Ceremony on Sept 28, expected to be officiated by the Premier of Sarawak.
