The Miri City Council will organize its third "Recyclable Buy-Back" environmental campaign on Saturday, May 17, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Miri Green Community Centre, continuing its efforts to promote green living.
Mayor Adam Yii announced at a press conference following the monthly council meeting that the event is jointly organized by the City Council, Sekitar Bumi Hijau Sdn. Bhd., and Eye One Recycle (Miri) Sdn. Bhd. The initiative aims to encourage the public to participate in eco-friendly practices by selling recyclable materials and used cooking oil for cash.
It is reported that the next campaign is tentatively scheduled for July 26 at the same time and venue. Citizens are encouraged to participate actively.
