The Sarawak Government has officially signed an MoU with the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to strengthen cooperation in:
✅ Environmental sustainability management
✅ Human capital development
✅ Global policy innovation

The signing ceremony in London was witnessed by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, alongside the state delegation.

Abang Johari highlighted that with over 60% of Sarawak still covered by forests, rivers, and rich biodiversity, the state is a vital global carbon sink. 🌳🌏 He stressed that conservation requires stronger international collaboration and recognition.

This MoU paves the way for:
📚 Scholarships & executive education for Sarawak students and civil service
🔬 Joint research with LSE experts
🌱 Integrating ESG & sustainability leadership into Sarawak’s policies

“This partnership unites Sarawak’s natural and human capital with LSE’s world-class expertise — creating knowledge, policies, and solutions that will benefit not only Sarawak, but the world,” said the Premier.
