All Petronas stations in Miri are fully ready for the launch of the targeted RON95 petrol subsidy system. Miri MP Chiew Choon Man, after visiting the Morsjaya station, expressed confidence in the station’s readiness and encouraged the public to stay calm:
👉 “No need to panic-buy or rush on the first day. Let those who really need petrol fill up first — the system is simple and easy to use.”
💳 How it works:
Insert your MyKad at the outdoor terminal.
Your subsidy balance will be displayed.
Pay with card, or go to the counter for cash payment.
Refuel as usual — balance will be automatically deducted.
📌 Reminders:
✔ Ensure your MyKad chip is in good condition
✔ Make sure your driving licence is valid
✔ Consider using Setel or Touch ’n Go apps for smoother transactions
✅ Station staff are also ready to assist, with backup measures in place if there are internet or system disruptions.
👏 Chiew thanked the government for introducing this programme to ease people’s burden, while station manager Cindy Ling assured motorists of full support during the rollout.
