One of Miri’s oldest recreational institutions, the Piasau Boat Club, marked its Golden Jubilee with a grand cocktail dinner last Saturday — celebrating five decades of heritage, community spirit, and sporting tradition.
Minister of Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, hailed PBC as “a living part of Miri’s heritage – a vibrant symbol of the city’s social and cultural identity.” ✨
From its humble beginnings in 1975 as a small sailing outpost in Piasau Camp, PBC has grown into a thriving hub for sports, leisure, and community life — now home to nearly 350 members and families. 🌴⚓
Commodore Noor Azree Nordin shared that this milestone is a testament to the passion, perseverance, and unity of PBC’s members and community. As the club honours its past, it also looks forward to an exciting future — continuing to innovate, adapt, and connect generations. 💙
Here’s to the next 50 years of friendship, fun, and sailing ahead! 🥂🚤
