Serian District Council (MDS) is pushing forward with exciting developments in tourism and agriculture to transform the division into a “mini New Zealand” — bringing real benefits to local communities. 🇲🇾✨
At a special dialogue with Bidayuh community leaders, MDS chairman Dato Peter Minos encouraged grassroots leaders to work closely with MDS:
👉 Be the eyes and ears of your community
👉 Report local issues like roads, drainage, and public cleanliness
👉 Help ensure development projects meet community needs
🚩 Highlighted projects include:
Pancor Dayak Hot Spring ♨️
Pesang River & Rancang Pool Waterfall 🌊
Riih Daso Lake & Bung Sadong Hill 🏞️
Silabur Cave & Geddes Gallery at Kampung Mentu Tapu 🏡
With strong support from the Sarawak Government and the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency, these projects are moving forward quickly.
On agriculture 🌱, collaboration with the private sector will further empower farmers and boost local produce.
Dato Minos also praised Sarawak’s ambitious plans — from a new airport and port to highways, bridges, and the upcoming ART system. 🚉
💬 “Together, we can make Serian a mini New Zealand, recognised by the world. Everyone has a role to play — not just the government,” he said.
