At the All About Arts: ROOTS & Celebrating Malaysia Photo Exhibition, MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng reminded everyone that Sarawak’s creative future must grow from its cultural roots. 🌏
“Before we reach higher, we must remember where we come from — in our crafts, songs, food, and stories.”
He praised the What About Kuching (WAK) Festival for uniting artists, designers, and makers, turning Kuching into a city that breathes creativity and collaboration.
🏆 With Kuching recognised as a World Crafts City and UNESCO City of Gastronomy, Dato Wee called on all creators to preserve, innovate, and share Sarawak’s heritage with the world.
💚 “May the spirit of creativity continue to flourish in our beloved City of Unity.”
