he Iban community’s sacred Gawai Antu Festival returns, celebrating ancestral remembrance and cultural unity.🎬 Catch the Gawai Antu Documentary Film at the Borneo Cultures Museum, Kuching, from October 19–24, 2025 (11am & 2pm daily). The film captures the emotional and spiritual heart of one of the Iban’s most meaningful traditions — held only once in a generation.
A special opening session on October 19 will feature Barbara Dubah Jabu and Loo Shun Ming, sharing insights on preserving Iban identity through storytelling.
✨ More than rituals, Gawai Antu reminds us that honouring the past keeps our culture alive for generations to come.
