A brand-new 10-storey hotel is set to rise beside the iconic Kapit Lily Pond, bringing fresh life and modern charm to one of Kapit’s most recognisable landmarks.Occupying a 1.59-acre site, the project by Borneo Development Corporation (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd aims to revitalise the area with a design that celebrates both nature and local heritage.
Unveiled during the Majlis Merarau Bersama Komuniti Kapit attended by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, the upcoming hotel will feature:
🏨 Over 100 guest rooms
☕ A stylish coffee house
🎤 Meeting rooms & a grand banquet hall (up to 500 guests)
🌇 A rooftop sky bar with breathtaking views of Kapit
Drawing inspiration from the Lily Pond’s organic beauty, the hotel’s architecture will blend modern design with nature through lily-inspired forms and lush landscaping.
Demolition works have already begun — and soon, Kapit will welcome a new addition to its skyline! 🌿✨
