A major milestone for Kuching’s urban transport is happening right now — the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) station at Kuching International Airport (KIA) is under construction and will soon provide direct access to the airport’s departure hall. Super convenient for travellers!The Red Line of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) by Sarawak Metro is making steady progress, especially around Pelita Heights and the airport area where the ART guideway is being installed.
So far, eight pier caps have already been completed, with the ninth on its way soon. 🚧

➡️ Mostly elevated guideway
➡️ 8 stations: Kuching Central, KIA, Pelita Heights, Tun Jugah, VivaCity, Jalan Tun Razak & Pending
Construction is now moving full speed along multiple points of the alignment.
Sarawak Metro also shared a reminder that certain areas at KIA will be temporarily closed during the works. They’ve apologised for any inconvenience caused. 🙏
