🏎️ Sarawak’s FIRST International Motorsports Hub is coming!
Gedong Circuit is set to take the lead as Sarawak’s first-ever international motorsports venue — hosting Formula 3 (F3) and major motorcycle racing events!According to SMA president Senator Dato Ahmad Ibrahim, the 600-acre project is now awaiting full approval, with Phase 1 expected to begin between 2026–2027.
🛠️ “The land is ready, funding has been approved — we’re just waiting for the green light. A 15–20 year dream is finally becoming reality,” he said during the Borneo Star Drift Series 2025 press conference in Miri today.
💰 The first phase is estimated to cost RM150–RM200 million, positioning Gedong as a major motorsports hub for F3 and lower-tier racing across Borneo.
🏁 Beyond racing, the project is expected to boost the local economy, supporting hotels, restaurants, auto workshops, tire shops and more as racing teams bring along crews, families and supporters.
