🎄 Countdown to Christmas: Sibu’s 20-Foot Trees Are Here!
🎄✨ Six towering Christmas trees, each 20 feet tall, are set to light up Dataran Tun Tuanku Bujang Phase 1 ahead of this year’s Yuletide Festival!Councillor Simon Wee, event organising chairman, shared that participants in the Christmas Tree Decoration Contest began decking the trees on Tuesday.
“All decorations must be completed by Dec 10, in time for the lighting-up ceremony on Dec 12,” he told The Borneo Post.
Hosted by the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC), each participant receives RM3,000 to cover their decoration expenses.
🌟 Entries will be judged on:
✅The ‘wow’ factor
✅Overall design & aesthetics (day & night)
✅Creativity
✅Durability & sustainability
🕯️ Judging dates:
✅Night view: Dec 15
✅Day view: Dec 23
This year, only the champion will take home a prize! Competing participants include:
Eco Green Electrical Sdn Bhd, JN_Littleshop, Kolej Laila Taib, Me Homeward Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Seni Bumi Contractor Sdn Bhd, and I-Concept Event Agency.
