🌟 TOBC Borneo Pickleball Championship 2026 Coming to Miri! 🌟
The Sarawak Chinese Association (SCA), together with 22 ethnic associations, will be hosting the TOBC Borneo Pickleball Championship 2026 on March 28–29 at the Paragon Pickleball Sports Centre, Miri.This exciting event will kick off the Taste of Borneo Cultural Carnival (TOBC) 4.0!
SCA President Harry Lee said the championship is more than just a sports event — it’s a powerful platform that blends sports, youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and community unity.
🏸 Why This Event Matters
• Promotes unity in diversity & multicultural friendship
• Encourages youth participation (ages 10–18)
• All student participants will earn PAJSK points for their PBS assessment
• Endorsed by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurial Development & major pickleball associations
• Supports Sarawak’s PCDS 2030 vision
• Boosts tourism and positions Sarawak as a regional sports & cultural hub
🌍 Participants will come not only from Sarawak but also from Sabah, Brunei, and Indonesia, making it a vibrant cross-cultural gathering.
SCA also plans to launch an annual Sports Carnival as part of Sarawak’s multi-ethnic sports tourism initiative.
🗣️ “We hope this championship becomes a meaningful platform for youth and diverse communities to connect, build friendships, and strengthen unity through sports,” Lee added.
