✈️ Sarawak–China Air Connectivity Gets a Big Boost! 🇲🇾🇨🇳
Sarawak’s aviation link with China just reached a new milestone! Loong Air has officially launched its direct Shenzhen–Kuching flight, operating every Tuesday under a Scheduled Chartered Flight arrangement.

The inaugural flight GJ8055 landed at 12:50pm with 85 passengers, while tonight’s return flight sees 171 passengers booked — a strong sign of growing demand!

During a press conference at Kuching International Airport, Ministry of Transport Permanent Secretary Datu Wong Hee Sieng highlighted how this route makes travel much smoother:

“Passengers no longer need to transit through Kuala Lumpur or Kota Kinabalu. This direct flight makes travel between Sarawak and China far more convenient.”

He also revealed that Loong Air plans to expand its network with direct flights to Hangzhou and Guangzhou by March next year, further enhancing tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange.

China’s Consul-General in Kuching, Xing Weiping, welcomed the new route:

“Shenzhen is a key innovation hub, and this flight brings our two cities even closer. More Chinese visitors will now have the chance to experience Sarawak’s unique culture and natural beauty.”

With weekly Tuesday flights now in operation, the Shenzhen–Kuching route marks another significant step forward in boosting Sarawak’s tourism landscape and strengthening economic links between both regions. 🌏✨
