Music, Sports and Fireworks: Sibu Countdown 2025 Welcomes 2026 in Style

The public is invited to celebrate the arrival of 2026 at the Sibu Countdown 2025, happening Dec 28–31 at the Azman Hashim Community Sport Centre, Sibu Jaya, in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).

Organised by Jaycees International (JCI) Sibu, People’s Progressive Party Dudong, and Cohesion Prima Sdn Bhd, with support from Pejabat Residen Bahagian Sibu, this four-day festival promises non-stop entertainment, community activities, and sports fun for families, youth, and visitors alike.

Daily Stage Performances (Dec 28–31): Singing, dancing, cultural showcases, band performances, DJ segments, and even a magic show!

Last weekend, Sempurai Gundai from Kapit took home RM5,000 as the champion.

Bands from Sibu, Kuching, Kapit, Kanowit, and Sibu Jaya showcased their talent, diversity, and stage presence in front of an enthusiastic crowd, highlighting Sibu Jaya’s role as a hub for live music and youth creativity.
