Exciting Boost for Healthcare in Serian! πŸ₯✨
Two major healthcare development projects worth RM3.6 million under the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) have been approved, bringing a significant upgrade to medical facilities in the Serian area.

πŸ’› Project 1: Upgrading the Paediatric Ward at Serian Hospital with an allocation of RM600,000, aimed at improving comfort and quality of care for young patients.

πŸ’™ Project 2: Construction of a new Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy (OT/PT) Unit at Serian Health Clinic, with RM3 million allocated. The new building will include parking facilities, strengthen rehabilitation services, and address existing parking challenges.

Bukit Semuja Assemblyman, John Ilus, shared that the approvals were formalised during site visits to both facilities. The Public Works Department (JKR) Serian will serve as the technical department, working closely with hospital and clinic teams to ensure smooth execution.

β€œOur hope is for both projects to be completed quickly, so that improved healthcare services can reach the people of Serian as soon as possible,” he said.

Also present during the event were representatives from GKCDA, JKR Serian, Serian Hospital, Serian Health Clinic, Serian Resident’s Office, and Serian District Office.
