Exciting news! 🇸🇬🤝🇲🇾
Singapore is set to open a consular office in Sarawak, with plans to begin pre-opening activities soon while finalizing a suitable location in Kuching.
This was shared during a courtesy visit by Singapore’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, Vanu Gopala Menon, to Sarawak’s Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, at his official residence earlier this week.
The new office aims to strengthen trade, investment, and people-to-people connections between Sarawak and Singapore.
Both sides also discussed expanding cooperation in green economy initiatives, renewable energy, and tourism—highlighting Sarawak’s natural beauty and unique attractions to attract more visitors from Singapore.
Tun Wan Junaidi expressed hope for continued strategic collaboration to support sustainable growth and long-term prosperity for both regions.
A step forward in friendship and partnership! 💚✨
