โ๏ธ Extra AirAsia Flights to Sarawak This Festive Season! ๐
Good news for Sarawakians planning to travel home for Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri!Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin announced that AirAsia will operate additional flights to accommodate the festive travel rush:
Chinese New Year: 23 extra flights from Feb 13 โ 24
Hari Raya Aidilfitri: 25 extra flights from Mar 18 โ 26
โThese festive seasons are especially meaningful for families,โ said Lee, emphasizing that the extra flights will help Sarawakians studying or working outside the state return home in time to celebrate.
๐ธ Promo fares alert! One-way tickets from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching, Miri, Sibu, and Bintulu start from RM328, helping travellers save on travel costs.
Lee also highlighted the i-GPS Sarawak 2026 initiative, a flight subsidy programme supporting Sarawakian students returning home during festive breaks.
The Ministry of Transport Sarawak (MOTS) continues to work closely with airlines and MAVCOM to ensure sufficient flights, seat availability, and reasonable fares during peak periods.
