📍 The Japanese Building, Kuching 🇲🇾
Did you know? 🤔
This is the only administrative building constructed by the Japanese army during the occupation of Sarawak (1941–1945). 🏛️

But behind its solid walls lies a painful chapter of history.

The building was constructed by prisoners of war from Sabah and Sarawak who were detained at Batu Lintang Camp.⛓️ It is said that they were marched daily to the construction site — a harsh routine under wartime conditions.

Today, the building stands quietly, a silent witness to the bitter days of World War II.
Beneath the stone and concrete are stories of hardship, resilience, and lives forever changed.

It is more than just a historical structure ,it is a reminder that history is built not only with bricks 🧱, but with human sacrifices that should never be forgotten.
