Located about 34KM from Kuching, this is one of the oldest Bidayuh longhouses in Sarawak β believed to be around 250 years old π°οΈβ¨
Today, only 25 families still live here, but it remains the true heart of the community β€οΈ With its traditional wooden structure, strong belian pillars π³, and key features like the βawahβ (open platform) and βtanjuβ (covered veranda), the longhouse continues to preserve Bidayuh culture and communal living π€πΆ
At the end of the house stands the βPanggahβ (Ritual House), safeguarding important historical artefacts πͺΆπΊ
Despite modernization challenges βοΈ, the village is working hard to protect this cultural treasure β even promoting it through annual events like βBrarak & Bipajak Gawai Biseguβ ππΎ
More than just a home, it is a living symbol of Bidayuh heritage πΏβ¨
