Located about 34KM from Kuching, this is one of the oldest Bidayuh longhouses in Sarawak — believed to be around 250 years old 🕰️✨
Today, only 25 families still live here, but it remains the true heart of the community ❤️ With its traditional wooden structure, strong belian pillars 🌳, and key features like the “awah” (open platform) and “tanju” (covered veranda), the longhouse continues to preserve Bidayuh culture and communal living 🤝🎶
At the end of the house stands the “Panggah” (Ritual House), safeguarding important historical artefacts 🪶🏺
Despite modernization challenges ⚖️, the village is working hard to protect this cultural treasure — even promoting it through annual events like “Brarak & Bipajak Gawai Bisegu” 🎉🌾
More than just a home, it is a living symbol of Bidayuh heritage 🌿✨
