🌙 Discover the Sarawak Islamic Heritage Museum 🕌
Did you know that the Sarawak Islamic Heritage Museum was officially opened on 22 May 1992 by His Excellency Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, the Chief Minister of Sarawak?

The building has a rich history! Originally the James Brooke Malay College, it was later transformed into this museum. Back in 1930, it was known as the Sarawak Malay Madrasah, where future Malay teachers were trained to strengthen education in the Malay community.

🏛 Unique Architecture
The museum is a rectangular building with a raised floor, three extra rooms, and two internal courtyards. Built mostly from concrete and wood with a tiled roof, its design is said to be one-of-a-kind in Sarawak.
