Between 2026 and 2027, multiple projects will be implemented to showcase Serian’s natural beauty — from mountains and waterfalls to rivers, caves, and hot springs.

One of the key highlights is the upgrading of the popular Ranchan Pool, with improved facilities and better accessibility to enhance visitor comfort and safety. With an allocation of RM10 million, it is set to become a must-visit attraction for both locals and tourists.

Adventure seekers can look forward to the transformation of Silabur Cave in Kampung Silabur. Plans include building access roads, chalets, public facilities, and more — turning it into a proper hub for cave exploration.

⛰️ Bung Sadong Eco Project
With an estimated cost of RM13.5 million, Bung Sadong will be developed into a hiking and outdoor activity destination, positioning it alongside Sarawak’s well-known highland attractions.

♨️ Wellness & Family Attractions

Panchor Dayak hot spring will be upgraded into a wellness retreat
Riih Daso Lake will become a family-friendly recreational park and fishing spot
River-based eco-tourism at the Pesang River will offer nature and leisure activities

A stunning 200-foot-high waterfall in Kampung Tarat Mawang is also in the pipeline, complete with accommodation, public amenities, and food outlets — set to be another major highlight in Serian.

💼 Boosting Local Economy
In total, around 8 tourism projects are planned under GKCDA. These initiatives are not only expected to attract more visitors but also create business opportunities and boost income for local communities.
