🎓 Sarawak Launches Higher Education Student Aid Programme – Phase 1, 2026 🎓

Yayasan Sarawak has officially opened applications for the Sarawak Government Higher Education Student Aid Initiative – Phase 1, 2026! This year, eligible students can receive free laptops, book vouchers, and special financial grants to support their studies.

📅 Application Period: March 31 – April 30, 2026

Who Can Apply?
✅Malaysian citizens and children of Sarawak (at least one parent with a Sarawak IC “K”)
✅Full-time students enrolled at recognised public or private universities across Malaysia

Assistance Available:
1️⃣ Free Laptop – For first-year Diploma or first Bachelor’s Degree students
2️⃣ Book Voucher – For students from foundation level up to first doctoral degree (laptop and voucher restricted to first-year students)
3️⃣ Special Financial Grant – For Diploma and first Bachelor’s Degree students, no income restrictions

💰 Income Requirement:
✅Laptop and book voucher applicants must demonstrate financial need: household per capita income RM1,500/month or below
✅This includes parents and children aged 25 or below still in education

📝 Required Documents:
✅Admission offer letter from your institution
✅For laptops or book vouchers: salary slips, pension vouchers, or a statutory declaration certified by your Ketua Masyarakat/ Ketua Kaum (KMKK) if no formal income document is available

👉Register for a Sarawak Pass at sarawakpass.sarawak.gov.my
👉Submit your application via My Yayasan Portal: myys.yayasansarawak.org.my
👉Ensure you have an active S PAY Global e-wallet for fund disbursement

👉Double-check all income information — false or unsupported declarations may disqualify your application
👉Applications are processed in order of submission, so submit early with complete documents
👉Monitor your application via the My Yayasan portal; stages include: Pending Verification → In Progress → Approved → Payment Processing → Pending SPG Processing
