Big things are coming to Tanjung Embang as the Sarawak government plans to develop a massive AI Data Campus — set to become a key driver for the state’s digital economy 🌐According to Abang Johari Tun Openg, this upcoming project — known as the Kuching AI Data Campus — will not only attract investments, but also strengthen Sarawak’s position in the growing AI and data centre industry.
📍 What to expect:
✨ A huge 405-hectare site dedicated to AI and data innovation
⚡ Specialised energy & water infrastructure to support high-tech operations
🔗 Future-ready connectivity to form an AI Grid ecosystem
🤝 Developed through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model
📌 Phase 1 will kick off with around 120 hectares
Inspired by world-class facilities like the one in Dublin, this project reflects Sarawak’s ambition to build a modern, tech-driven future.
