Eight Sarawak entrepreneurs are proudly bringing the Stateโs rich culinary heritage to the national stage at MYFOOD Expo 2026 in Kuala Lumpur ๐ฒ๐พ, showcasing iconic local delights such as Sarawak layer cakes ๐, terung asam ๐, dabai ๐ฃ, and more.
Held from May 7 to 9 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) ๐ข, the expo serves as a strategic platform for Sarawakโs food and beverage industry to expand its reach both locally and globally ๐๐.
The Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment Sarawak (MINTRED) is making its debut at the event, highlighting a wide range of innovative products inspired by Sarawakโs natural resources ๐ฑ โ including pepper ๐ถ๏ธ, sago ๐พ, sacha inchi ๐ฅ, terung asam ๐, and dabai-based products ๐ฃ, which are steadily gaining recognition in international markets ๐โจ.
The expo is organised by Opulence Exhibition Services Sdn Bhd, with support from Malaysiaโs Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, and is held alongside the International Cafรฉ & Beverage Show (ICBS) โ๐น, further strengthening its regional trade significance.
Previous editions have attracted over 13,000 visitors from 55 countries ๐๐ฅ, making it one of the regionโs leading food and beverage trade platforms.
MINTREDโs participation is supported by MYSED, SEDC, Department of Agriculture Sarawak, and Sarawak Manufacturersโ Association ๐ค, reflecting strong collaboration to empower local entrepreneurs ๐ผ๐.
Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh was also present in support of efforts to elevate Sarawak-made products onto the global stage ๐๐ช.
