The colourful event at Bintulu Esplanade drew over 3,000 registered participants from 73 teams โ and thatโs not even counting the many others who joined informally, including government departments, longhouse JKKs, clubs, associations, and students from across the district. ๐
Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development, Datuk Majang Renggi, said the overwhelming response shows the strong community spirit and unity among Bintulu residents.
"This is the first programme of its kind, made possible through close collaboration between the district office and various government agencies," he shared after leading the lively Niti Daun procession at Bintulu Market.
The event featured stunning cultural highlights, including:

According to Majang, who is also the Samalaju assemblyman, the programme promotes a healthy lifestyle while strengthening unity among Bintuluโs multi-ethnic communities โ all in the true spirit of Gawai Dayak.
