The Datuk Amar Juma'ani Bridge at Sungai Bintangor has made it into the Malaysia Book of Records as the country’s first, tallest, and longest three-legged cable-stayed bridge. A proud reflection of Sarawak’s growing engineering capabilities!
🏗️ According to Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, this achievement is just one of several recent recognitions received by agencies under his ministry—highlighting improved technical skills and innovation in infrastructure delivery.
💡 Other notable wins:
✅ Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) – 5-Star Digital Excellence Award 2025 & Global Member of the International Road Federation (2026)
✅ Miri Port Authority – Silver Award (Public Service Innovation Asia) at the 25th Malaysia Technology Expo, for their green shore power facilities
“These achievements reflect the capability of Sarawak’s infrastructure agencies in embracing innovation and service efficiency,” Uggah said.
Such recognitions open doors for stronger international collaboration and a smarter, greener future for the state.
