Kampung Annah Rais is set to become one of Sarawak’s top cultural and heritage destinations — and big things are on the way!According to Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, the village’s rich culture, strategic location, and natural beauty make it a future flagship tourism product in Mambong.
🎭 What’s coming?
A new waterfront (tenders expected in 2026)
An amphitheatre for traditional Bidayuh dance & music (400–500 capacity)
10 exhibition spaces featuring tuak, kasah, pertong, gong playing, and traditional dance
🌄 Annah Rais will also be connected to Borneo Highlands Resort — eventually becoming part of the Sarawak Delta Geopark Heritage Village.
“Through tourism, we can commercialise local products and create economic opportunities while preserving our heritage for future generations,” said Dr Jerip.
🎉 The announcement was made during the Gawai Dayak 2026 celebration at Kampung Annah Rais, organised in partnership with Coca-Cola — a great example of collaboration between the corporate sector and rural communities.
