🎶 Sarawak International Choral Festival 2026 is coming!
From June 18–21, 2026, Kuching will host 1,258 participants, including 393 international singers from 6 countries — USA, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.According to Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, this strong turnout shows how Sarawak is becoming a regional hub for choral arts and cultural exchange.
🎤 From local to international
What began as a local event has grown fast. Last year: a choir from Germany. This year: 11 international choirs from Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
🎵 More than a competition
It’s about friendship, cultural exchange, and celebrating choral music across generations — from schoolchildren to seniors.
📍 Choirs will perform at various venues around Kuching, turning the city into a celebration of music and creativity.
🏆 Grand Prix Competition & Award Ceremony
The finale will be graced by the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Dr. Wan Junaidi, and his wife.
👉 Organized by the Kuching Choral Society (KCS), with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts, and Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak).
