🎉 Miri Set to Make History with 32 Ethnic Associations in One Grand Cultural Parade! 🌏✨
Miri is preparing for a remarkable cultural celebration as the Taste of Borneo Cultural Carnival (TOBC) 4.0 returns from July 1 to 12 at the Boulevard Open Car Park.

One of the biggest highlights this year is Miri’s attempt to enter the Malaysia Book of Records under the category of Most Ethnic Associations Participating in a Parade. A total of 32 ethnic associations will come together in a vibrant showcase of Borneo’s rich cultural diversity and heritage. 🏆

The grand parade on July 1 will feature representatives from various ethnic communities, students from local schools, and an international cultural delegation from Yunnan, China, making the event more diverse and globally connected.

Adding an international touch, the Yunnan delegation will present the traditions and cultural heritage of six ethnic groups, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience different cultures in one celebration. 🤝🌍

Beyond the parade, the carnival will feature traditional dance performances, cultural showcases, and participation from cultural groups across Sarawak, Sabah, Brunei, Indonesia, and China, turning Miri into a vibrant hub of cultural exchange.

The event will also witness the signing of friendship agreements aimed at strengthening cultural, tourism, and people-to-people ties between Sarawak and international partners, further enhancing Miri’s growing role as a gateway for cultural tourism in the region.

More than just a festival, TOBC has become a platform that celebrates unity in diversity, bringing communities together while sharing the unique stories, traditions, and heritage of Borneo with the world.

📍 Mark your calendars and experience one of the most colourful cultural celebrations in Borneo this July!
