🍽️ 14 Beautifully Crafted Tables Celebrating Sarawak’s Diverse Heritage

A unique exhibition, "Crafted Tables for Two", is now happening at the MBKS Lobby, where traditional Sarawak crafts are transformed into stunning table settings that celebrate the state’s rich cultural heritage.

Curated by renowned designer Edric Ong, the exhibition runs from 31 July to 16 August 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in conjunction with Kuching’s recognition as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy and World Crafts City.

• Malay
• Melanau
• Baba Nyonya
• Eurasian

🎨 A special children's table by the Kuching Autistic Association
🪵 Dayak-inspired creations by local artisan Abot Gudang

Learn to create patterned table coasters with master artisan Senia Jugi.
🕙 Sessions: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM & 2:00 PM–4:00 PM

🧶 Another workshop by Chris Lu (Stolen Clouds, Sibu) will teach participants how to knit coasters, hot pot mats and pot holders.
