Kuching is set to become the centre of diabetes knowledge and innovation this October as leading diabetes experts from around the world gather for Diabetes Asia 2026! 🌏💙
The three-day hybrid conference, organised by the National Diabetes Institute (NADI) with the support of Business Events Sarawak, will take place at voco Kuching by IHG from 15 to 17 October 2026.
The conference aims to advance diabetes prevention, treatment and patient care across Asia by bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, industry leaders and allied health practitioners from the region and beyond.
📊 According to the International Diabetes Federation:
• 🇲🇾 Around 4.75 million Malaysian adults are living with diabetes
• 🌍 Globally, about 589 million adults are affected, with the number expected to rise to 853 million by 2050
Under the theme of knowledge-sharing and innovation, Diabetes Asia 2026 will feature expert discussions on the latest developments in diabetes care, including:

✨ GLP-1 therapies
✨ Diabetes technology
✨ Precision medicine
✨ Nutrition & mental health
✨ Paediatric diabetes care
The event will welcome international speakers from countries including Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, alongside around 30 Malaysian specialists.
Beyond advancing medical knowledge, the conference also highlights Sarawak’s growing role as a destination for international medical and scientific events, offering delegates the opportunity to experience the state’s unique culture and warm hospitality. 🌿✨
