🐾 Stop Rabies Carnival 2026: Learn, Protect & Prevent! 🐶

Students, families, pet owners and members of the public are invited to join the Stop Rabies Carnival 2026 on 22 August 2026 at Dewan Delima, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), from 8am to 2pm.

Organised by Boehringer Ingelheim Malaysia and the Malaysia One Health University Network (MyOHUN), the carnival aims to raise awareness about rabies prevention and support the goal of achieving zero human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030.

🩺🐕 Guided by the One Health approach, the programme highlights the important connection between human, animal and environmental health, bringing together communities, healthcare professionals, veterinarians, educators and government agencies.

The carnival will also feature talks by Dr Salehatul Khuzaimah Mohamad Alia and Dr Sarah Tay, followed by an educational session by the Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) at 11am.

Participating organisations include MyOHUN, MPKS, JKNS, DVSS, SSPCA, UNIMAS, UPM Sarawak and other partners from the health, education, veterinary and animal welfare sectors.

Rabies is preventable, but continued awareness and community participation remain key to keeping our families, pets and communities safe. ❤️
