Kampung Pinang in Kota Samarahan is getting a RM500,000 tourism facility upgrade, with the aim of boosting fishing activities and unlocking the village’s potential as a community tourism destination. 🌿🎣
The project, carried out under the Integrated Regional Samarahan Development Agency (IRSDA) initiative, includes:
🔹 Gabion retaining walls
🔹 An open plaza
🔹 Gazebos
🔹 Street lighting, which will be added soon 💡
What’s interesting is that fishing in Kampung Pinang is already attracting visitors from outside the village! 🎣 The growing demand has even led to the emergence of three boat operators offering rental services to anglers.
The village also has the potential to combine fishing with homestays, traditional food, local culture and the river ecosystem, creating a unique community tourism experience for both local and out-of-town visitors. 🏡🍜🌊
With more facilities on the way, Kampung Pinang could soon become another interesting spot to explore around Kota Samarahan. 👀✨
