According to Sarawak Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, a direct Kuchingโ€“Jeju route could open up exciting new opportunities for tourism and travel between Sarawak and South Korea.

Interestingly, both Jeju Island and Kuching are linked to UNESCO Global Geopark (UGGp) recognition. Jeju has already received the status, while Kuching is expected to receive the recognition next year. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿž๏ธ

Besides Jeju, Bangkok ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ is also reportedly being considered as another potential destination.

With AirBorneo set to launch direct flights to Jakarta next month, the next new international route could potentially be Bangkok or Jeju Island. โœˆ๏ธ
