Sarawak Seniors Can Enjoy Up to RM500 in Cashless Healthcare 💙
Good news for senior citizens in Sarawak! 👵👴

A total of 209 panel clinics across Sarawak have been appointed under the Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB) initiative, giving eligible senior citizens continued access to cashless healthcare services worth up to RM500 per year.

Under the latest appointment period:
• 🏥 171 clinics received a 2-year contract extension
• 📋 33 clinics received a 1-year extension, subject to compliance requirements
• ➕ 5 new clinics have joined the programme

With SCHB, eligible senior citizens can visit appointed panel clinics without having to pay upfront, subject to the annual RM500 limit.

The benefit covers common outpatient treatments such as fever, cough, flu and stomach problems, as well as dental services including tooth extractions, fillings, dentures and scaling.

It also includes various health screenings, such as:
👀 Vision and hearing checks
🩸 Blood sugar and cholesterol tests
🧪 Kidney, liver and thyroid function tests
🎗️ Prostate and cervical cancer screenings

The SCHB was approved by the Sarawak Cabinet in May 2024 and has been in operation since July 2024.

The Sarawak Government says the continued expansion of the panel clinic network aims to make healthcare more accessible, affordable and convenient for senior citizens, especially within their local communities.

A small benefit that can make a big difference for our elderly community. ❤️
