Parents in Sarawak will know by Saturday (Sept 5) whether the ongoing haze will affect school operations when classes resume on Monday (Sept 7).
The Sarawak Education Department said an official announcement on how schools will operate will be made before 2pm on Saturday.
For now, parents, students and school staff are advised to keep an eye on official updates from the Ministry of Education and Sarawak Education Department, and follow any instructions given.
With the haze situation still ongoing, everyone is also reminded to take extra care of their health, especially children and those with respiratory conditions. 😷
🌫️ If air quality worsens:
• Reduce outdoor activities
• Limit exposure to the haze
• Keep an eye on children’s health and wellbeing
• Follow official instructions
The department also reminded the public not to spread or believe unverified information about school operations, as this could cause unnecessary confusion and worry.
So for now, no need to guess or panic. 🙏🏻
📌 Wait for the official announcement before making any plans for Monday.
Hopefully, the haze situation will improve soon. Stay safe, everyone! 💙
