Construction of the new Miri River bridge, linking Kampung Pulau Melayu and Marina Bay, is expected to begin on Sarawak Day, July 22, following official approval by the Sarawak government.
This long-overdue bridge will significantly ease traffic and shorten travel time between Lutong and Marina Bay. Once completed, it will allow vehicles to cross the river mouth directly, offering a more efficient and convenient route.
The new bridge will connect Marina Bay to the opposite bank near the port area — a strategic development that will benefit residents, businesses, and commuters alike.
