If you live around Batu Kitang, you might have noticed more streetlights popping up around housing areas and back lanes over the years. 👀💡
Since 2016, more than 1,200 streetlights have been installed across the constituency, especially in places that used to be really dark at night.
For residents, it’s not just about having better lighting — feeling safe when walking or driving through the neighbourhood matters too. 🏘️✨
And the work isn’t stopping there.
📹 CCTV cameras have also been added, with six cameras along Arang Road and another around the Third Mile area. More CCTV cameras are expected to be installed across Sarawak as well.
Meanwhile, Batu Kitang residents will have a chance to bring up the issues they face in their own neighbourhood during an upcoming community dialogue.
