Planning a trip in the coming months? You might have more choices when booking your flights! โ๏ธ
AirAsia is bringing back several routes involving Sarawak from late October:
๐ Kuching โ๏ธ Kota Bharu โ from Oct 27
๐ Bintulu โ๏ธ Kota Kinabalu โ from Nov 1
๐ Sibu โ๏ธ Kota Kinabalu โ from Nov 2
And thatโs not all! AirAsia will also add more flights on several popular routes from November.
For example, the Kuala Lumpur โ๏ธ Kuching route will increase from 63 to 77 flights per week. More flights are also planned for routes involving Sibu, Miri, Bintulu, Penang, Johor Bahru and Pontianak. ๐
Malaysia Airlines is also planning more flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kuching, Miri, Sibu and Bintulu under its 2027 schedule, while Firefly plans to increase its Kuala Lumpur โ๏ธ Kuching service to 14 flights per week from February 2027.
Basicallyโฆ more flights = more options when planning your next trip! ๐โ๏ธ
This is especially welcome during school holidays and festive seasons, when flight demand usually goes up.
At the same time, Sarawakโs Transport Ministry has also raised concerns over last-minute airfares, with some fares involving Sarawak reportedly going above RM1,000.
Hopefully, with more flight capacity coming in, travellers will have more choices and we wonโt have to panic too much when booking a last-minute flight. ๐ฎโ๐จโ๏ธ
Which route are you most excited to see more flights for? ๐๐
