🇫🇷 France Ready to Support AirBorneo’s Growth ✈️
✈️🇫🇷 France is looking to support the development of AirBorneo, with Airbus’ more than 50 years of experience and cooperation in Malaysia potentially playing a role.French Ambassador to Malaysia Marc Abensour said France could explore various areas of cooperation with AirBorneo, particularly by tapping into Airbus’ expertise in Malaysia.
Some of the potential areas include ✈️
🔧 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
🎓 Aviation training
🌱 Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) development
Beyond aviation, France and Sarawak are also exploring possible cooperation in other areas, including forest mapping, renewable energy and sustainable development.
Discussions reportedly included potential collaboration between CIRAD and UPM Sarawak on forest mapping, as well as opportunities involving French companies such as EDF in hydropower and grid management.
Meanwhile, companies including Air Liquide and Axens could potentially be involved in future SAF-related projects.
With AirBorneo’s development moving forward, it looks like aviation could become another area where Sarawak and France explore closer cooperation. 👀✈️
