Kuching is set to welcome a major celebration of Borneo’s craft, culture and creativity! 🎨🌿

The upcoming BorneoCraft Global 2.0 Expo & Conference (BCG 2.0) is expected to attract several prominent royal guests, including:

👑 Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah
👑 Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah
👑 Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin
👑 Queen Consort of the Yogyakarta Sultanate, Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hemas

The Queen of Yogyakarta has already confirmed her attendance. 🇮🇩✨

The five-day event is expected to bring together around 200 craft entrepreneurs, including makers from across Malaysia and overseas, with around 30,000 visitors expected.

The Waterfront will also be transformed into a “craft village by the river” 🌿🏞️

Visitors can look forward to:
✨ Live craft demonstrations
🎨 Masterclasses by international artists
🎶 Daily cultural & musical performances
🛍️ Premium Sarawak products
🌏 International craft exhibitions and activities

Meanwhile, an international symposium will take place on 25 & 26 November, featuring around 25 speakers from more than 20 countries, covering topics ranging from traditional craft techniques and heritage to tourism and market development.

There will also be a gala dinner on 27 November, featuring the International Craft Awards presented by AHPADA and APCA. 🏆

From traditional craftsmanship to modern creative industries, BCG 2.0 aims to bring together craft makers, institutions, buyers and the public to celebrate and grow Borneo’s rich craft heritage.

Kuching is definitely going to be a little more colourful this November! 🌺✨
